How do you explain what cancer is to a child? How do you explain to a three-year old that her mother's breasts are being removed? How do you stifle your child from climbing up on your lap to cuddle in your bosom after you have just underwent a bilateral mastectomy?In "Mommy Has Boo-Boos On Her Boobies", Janice Woerner, tells the story of how she empowered her Daughter, Hayden, with a simple statement that became their mantra through multiple surgical procedures performed for removal and reconstructionof all her breast tissue.Janice's cancer journey began in 2010 when she was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma In Situ). She was also told she would be unable to conceive a child. One year later, her daughter was conceived naturally crediting restorative yoga in helping her body heal and increasing her fertility. In 2015, the cancer had returned and Janice underwent a bilateral mastectomy.
