Following the fly bite on some exposed surface Of the body (neck, face, hands, or legs), the onset is sudden, with pains and fever; the patient is prostrated and is confined to bed; the lymph glands which drain the bitten area be come tender, inflamed, and swollen, and commonly suppurate, re quiring incision.
