Participation in fitness and interest in physical activity is no longer just a fad in Ontario with at least half of the population now involved in some type of regular activity. This report surveys activity participation, frequency and types with degree of activity as well.Discusses the participation differences between men and women, differences due to age, surveys socio-economic characteristics, and the location where people exercise, with a consideration of regional and community size differences. Includes sample questionnaire used to compile the report which was distributed among 1048 Ontario residents in November 1984.
