Thistle Sifter is a self published journal on the subjects of art, animals and the environment. This is the complete River Report Book. These reports were posted by myself regularly on social media over a six year period. First from a giant collection of artist studios called the Seed Building. From my window, I reported on the daily happenings which I could see happening on the Fremont Bridge. Then I moved a few blocks away to the river. These new reports were made from the porch of an old, converted fire station built in the 1920s. It is on the Eastside edge of the Willamette River across from the Pearl District. This building is called The Boathouse. It was built for boats that put out fires on and along the river. It is a wild green strip through a toxic area of the city.I reported on ships in port and animals passing through. Poetic and strange and filled with beautiful full color photographs. Published through Magcloud print on demand.

It looks at the interaction between word-forming operations, expressive morphology, and language play, and will appeal to all those interested in English etymology, lexicography, and morphology.
