Excerpt from Thirty-Fifth Annual Report of the City of Keene: Containing Inaugural Ceremonies, Ordinances and Joint Resolutions Passed by the City Councils, With Reports of the Several Departments, for 1908 The members of the city government for the municipal year of 1910, having met for organization, agreeably to the provisions of the city charter, the convention was called to order by His Honor Mayor Clark, at ten o'clock in the forenoon. The oath of office by law prescribed was administered to the mayor-elect, John E. Benton, by Hon. H. B. Viall, who then introduced him to the aldermen and councilmen present. After roll-call by the clerk, His Honor Mayor Benton administered the oath of office to the following named members of the boards of aldermen and councilmen, to wit: Board Of Aldermen. Ward 1. - Harry A. Pierce. Ward 2. - William P. Carleton. Ward 3. - Frank H. Blanchard. Ward 4. - Murray V. Wright. Ward 5. - Thomas A. Seery. Board Of Common Council. Ward 1. - Calvin H.
