Ltsay clergyman, physician, undertakentown clerk, clerk ot'any meet gofthewcietyofh'riendaorctherpemn shallwillfullyneglectorrefusetoper rm any of wdiscrefionofthecoun or justice trying the cause, on convictionthereof, be had not exceeding twenty dollars, for each ell'ence, one-half thereof to the use of is ten inwhichtheofi'cnceshall occur, theotherhalftothe person who shall unplain ofthe same. Inorderthatit maybe more surely ascertained that no clergyman, tydcieu, coroner, undertaker, or clerk of the society of Friends, neglects to mks e returnsspecifiedin thischapter, each oneshallcausehisnameandresidenceto recorded in the clerk's office of the town where he resides. 8m 13. Sec. 15. Births, marriages, and deaths of non-residents shall be om those of residents in the returns, by being arranged separately. Ste. 16. The secretary ofstate may, from timc to tima, vary the forms of re use, and require such additional information as he may consider necemry, to eet the object of this chapter. 830. 17. The sum of two hundred and fifty dollars annually, to be drawn for V the secretary of state, is appropriated out of the general treasury, to defray the ng, collecting and arranging the registration returns, the necessary tables and drawing up the report required by the second of this chapter.
