The attention of teachers is called to the terms on the second page of the cover, and it is earnestly hoped that every one will regard himself or herself an agent for the Teacher, and thus aid in ren dering it a fixture in the school machinery of the State. We com mence with five hundred actual subscribers, but shall issue one thousand copies, that new subscribers may be supplied with back numbers. Do not wait to be called on by an agent, but send in your names in compliance with the terms. The first number does not contain so much original matter as we design to have in sub sequent numbers. We do not intend to fill our future numbers with appeals for support, or complaints for a want of it. We have stated our purpose, and made our appeal for support, and with the fullest confidence that the appeal will receive a generous response. The future life. He who feels that if there is a God he must look down graciously upon him, will not be disturbed by arguments against his being, and he needs none for it.
