Many who stayed to farm and start small businesses have been honored by having streets and schools named for them. Over time, Blue Springs became a destination due to its highway accessibility for work, shopping, and cultural activities. At present, it is known for its excellent schools, parks and recreation opportunities, and progressive city leadership. This sense of community pride has been the catalyst to create a book that celebrates our history and forecasts our future.
