Plit! . . . What was that? A sound? A noise? Something falling to the ground? Who heard it? Did anyone pay any attention to it? Does anyone even care? Not now, but one day soon, everyone in the whole world will know about it. Why? Why did a loving God plant and nurture a seed that He knew would grow into the tree, that would be turned into the cross, that His only begotten Son would be crucified on? Why was the seed of this tree so important to Him? At the same time as the seed on its journey to becoming a tree was planted by God another seed was about to be planted by God. A young Jewish girl, a virgin---spotless and pure---holy in the eyes of God, chosen specifically by God, to become the mother of God! Her name is Mary, chosen to be honored forevermore! A seed is about to be planted in Mary. A seed that is destined to grow into a man. A man whose Father is God! A man whose mother is human. A man destined to be, all man and all God, at all of the time. A God-man, whose destiny was already intertwined in an unbreakable bond to be joined with the tree that is sprouting from the seed on a lonely old hill above the little village of Bethlehem,. A God-man, whose destiny was already determined before the foundation of the earth was even set in place, to be crucified on a cross made from a tree that God planted and nurtured and made to grow!In miraculous ways, two seeds have now been planted. Two seeds have now sprouted. Two seeds are now being nurtured and protected by God. Two seeds are now set on their individual paths to an unbreakable destiny of one day being joined together-forever!Why did God have to become the Father of God through Mary? What was the reason why God had to plant a seed inside of Mary that became Jesus---the Son of God---whom God had already predestined to die on the cross made from the tree that came from the seed that God planted and caused to sprout and grow?To answer these questions, we have to go all of the way back to the very first miraculous seed ever planted by God in the very 'beginning' journey of the history of creation that would eventually turn into the destiny of mankind---the destiny of mankind that required a perfect God-man to take the place of an 'imperfect' sacrificial lamb, to die on a tree-cross so God and man could be reconciled together. This book is dedicated to everyone who has ever had questions, doubts, and/or, concerns about the Bible, Christianity, and/or, God. There are many, many confusing, and even conflicting things written in the Bible. But, if you have ever tried to get any true and honest answers from your clergy, teachers, college professors, and/or, deans of religion, concerning these concerns, you have probably been given even more confusing answers than you ever had before, or more than likely, been given no answers at all. Following are some questions that will be answered: 1. Is the story of 'creation' in the book of Genesis correct in the way it is written? 2. If so, is the earth really only about 7 to 10-thousand years old as many believe?3. Did Eve speak with a real reptilian snake?4. If so, what kind of snake was it? Was it poisonous?5. What was the real 'forbidden fruit' that Adam and Eve partook of?6. What kind of tree did the forbidden fruit come from?7. Is the Bible the absolute infallible Word of God, totally and completely free from all mistakes?8. Why do some religions have a different number of 'holy' books in their Bibles?9. Why are there four different versions of the resurrection of Jesus in the four Gospels?10. Did Judas commit suicide or did he fall face first and his bowels spilled out? Did angels intermarry with mankind? What about the Neanderthals, and any other sub-human species, where did they come from? What about the dinosaurs, where did they come from? Was our loving God responsible for creating something so awesomely fearful and mean? Is there anything in the Bible that can give us an answer to this question? YES!!!

“The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” —Matthew 13:31–32 When Jesus began his ministry, he announced that the kingdom of God was at hand. But many modern-day Christians don’t really understand what the kingdom of God is or how it relates to the message of the gospel. Defining kingdom as the King’s power over the King’s people in the King’s place, Patrick Schreiner investigates the key events, prophecies, and passages of Scripture that highlight the important theme of kingdom across the storyline of the Bible—helping readers see how the mission of Jesus and the coming of the kingdom fit together. The Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels is unique among reference books on the Bible, the first volume of its kind since James Hastings published his Dictionary of Christ and the Gospels in 1909. In the more than eight decades since Hastings, our understanding of Jesus, the Evangelists and their world has grown remarkably. New interpretive methods illumined the text, the ever-changing profile of modern culture has put new questions to the Gospels, and our understanding of the Judaism of Jesus's day has advanced in ways that could not have been predicted in Hastings's day. But for many readers of the Gospels the new outlook on the Gospels remains hidden within technical journals and academic monographs. The Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels bridges the gap between scholars and those pastors, teachers, students and lay people desiring in-depth treatment of select topics in an accessible and summary format. The topics range from cross-sectional themes (such as faith, law, Sabbath) to methods of interpretation (such as form criticism, redaction criticism, sociological approaches), from key events (such as the birth, temptation and death of Jesus) to each of the four Gospels as a whole. Some articles - such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, rabbinic traditions and revolutionary movements at the time of Jesus - provide significant background information to the Gospels. Others reflect recent and less familiar issues in Jesus and Gospel studies, such as divine man, ancient rhetoric and the chreiai. Contemporary concerns of general interest are discusses in articles covering such topics as healing, the demonic and the historical reliability of the Gospels. And for those entrusted with communicating the message of the Gospels, there is an extensive article on preaching from the Gospels. The Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels presents the fruit of evangelical New Testament scholarship at the end of the twentieth century - committed to the authority of Scripture, utilising the best of critical methods, and maintaining dialog with contemporary scholarship and challenges facing the church.

THE PROBLEM OF THE INTERPRETATION OF HAMANN Johann Georg Hamann is an intriguing but poorly known figure in the contemporary intellectual world. Yet this is the man whom Kierkegaard saluted as "Emperor!", whose writings were to have been arranged for publication by none other than Goethe himself, and whom Dilthey numbered among the primordial figures in the rise of modern historical consciousness. There are reasons for the persistence of this general ignorance. Hamann is deep. And, in addition, there is his forbidding style. The readers of Kierkegaard and Dilthey, two other giants who them selves achieved late recognition, have not had to face this kind of imposing obstacle. Not only does Hamann expect his readers to handle themselves in deep water, but to intuit their way between his ideas which bob up like islands with no visible connection between them. Like Kierkegaard too, Hamann has had his troubles with the public. He himself referred to the hope that he would be understood by a "better posterity". In fact only the last few years have seen the printing of some of his more controversial writings, in particular his theories on the nature of human sexuality.

Jesus said, "...for this cause I came". He came to die for our sins. If Jesus had not done what He was sent to do, then He could not set captivity free. In other words, Jesus said I go to prepare a place for you. Anif I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and get you so you will be with me always. Accept a corn of wheat falls to the ground and dies it remains alone. You see, if Jesus had not died to atone our sins, we would remain unfit for the Kingdom. Because no whoremonger, adulterer, fornicator, drunkard, nor idolater will see Heaven. No, absolutely no sinner will see the Kingdom of God. Jesus said I must go first and make ready a place for you in my Father's house where there are many mansions. And after I have accomplished that, I will come back for you and take you back with me and we will spend eternity together. Jesus is the seed that fell from the Master's hand. The sower, who is the father and the husbandman, sows the seed which is the Word of God. The word then becomes flesh and dwells amongst us and we behold the only begotten Son of God full of glory whose name is the word of God. A seed alone in your hand will only stay a seed. But if you sow that seed, plant that seed. You will then see that seed produce and bring forth a harvest that will give birth to a multitude of seeds. And now that seed that was alone in your hand is no longer alone. It is surrounded by a family of other seeds just like itself. Accept the seed falls to the ground and dies it will remain alone. Jesus, who is the seed's purpose for falling to the earth, was to die. He didn't come to earth to go back to heaven alone. He's coming back to get this Church who will be without spot or wrinkle.
