Mr. Nichols was born in Boston, July 25, 1875. He received his preliminary education in private schools in Boston, and later entered Harvard Col lege, from which he received the degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1895. He then entered Harvard Law School, from which he received the degree of Bachelor of Laws in 1898, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar the same year.
