THE HEIRS OF CAHIRA O’CONNOR SERIES BOOK TWO A line of women who would be warriors for truth “It is said that as Cahira, daughter of the great Irish king Rory O’Connor, lay dying of a wound from a Norman blade, she lifted her hand toward heaven and beseeched God that others would follow after her, bright stars who would break forth from the courses to which they are bound and restore right in this murderous world…” To Kathleen O’Connor, Cahira’s story is nothing more than a charming legend—until her research divulges that several of Cahira’s heirs did, indeed, leave the traditional roles of womanhood to fight for right. Stunned, Kathleen realizes she herself bears Cahira’s mark. Is Kathleen destined to continue the legacy in the twenty-first century? To discover how the histories of these women relate to her own future, Kathleen must delve deep into the past to learn the truth about The Heirs of Cahira O’Connor… Aidan O’Connor Aidan O’Connor was raised among pickpockets and prostitutes in a Dutch colony on Java, Indonesia. When the preacher rode into the gold camp he knew his work was cut out for him. It was a world filled with wickedness and greed and He knew he would not be able to build a church here without God's help. To Frenchy, he was a man unlike any she had ever known. To give all that he had and ask for nothing in return made no sense and she was determined to find out what made this man tick. To Nick, he was a problem that had to be eliminated before he ruined the world he had created. The story of these conflicting lives was played out beneath the majestic peaks of the Rocky Mountains and only God himself could know the dramatic events that would resolve the conflicts of lives on a collision course. For nearly 40 years I have been fascinated by the mining history of my state. I have visited many of the old mining camps and sought out the history of the colorful people that lived in those places. In so doing I discovered a world of high adventure and larger than life characters that once lived in those remote mountain locations. To gain a more intimate knowledge of that world I worked in the mining industry. One summer several of the miners agreed in pray that even tough and independent men like the ones that worked in our mines could be saved. God answered our prayers and over the summer many gave their lives to Christ. It made me wonder what it would have been like if a man of God had determined to bring revival to one of those notorious gold camps. This story is the result of that idea.

The Golden Cross What is the Golden Cross? Robert Rios, a US citizen of Mexican and Indian heritage, stepped off the bus in Rosa Grande'. As he looked around the small bus stop in an impoverished adobe town, he wanted to find anyone or anything that looked familiar. Robert was using his summer vacation away from his teaching job to look for long-lost relatives in a very remote part of Mexico's mountainous region. Instead of finding something familiar, he found more than he could have ever bargained for: Little Eagle. Little Eagle, a young man from the Wisnook Indian tribe in America, sits alone in the bus station. He is waiting for something. The spirits that guide the tribe from the North have led him to this spot. They have led him to a particular person that will help him find what he seeks and to fulfill his mission. His mission: to deliver the Golden Cross. After a chance encounter between the two men, a third person clothed in the habit of a monastic order enters the bus stop. Tzchrina, a young woman from a remote mountainous tribe, shakes up the assumptions the two men had made. She too is looking for the answer to the riddle of the Golden Cross. What could a nun want with an item the spirit guides have sent Little Eagle to bring? As they face challenges with bandits, soldiers, and nature, the three strangers quickly learn to trust one another. They must rely on their combined skills discover the true nature of the Golden Cross and avoid those who seek this treasure for the wrong reasons. There is a very surprising ending which few would have guessed and I am not telling.
