In the thrilling conclusion to the Wall Street Journal bestselling Kingfountain Series, a conflicted champion must navigate a treacherous world to secure the peace. A devastating disaster has left the Forbidden Court in ashes, its fountains destroyed, and its magic at risk. It was destined as the site of Trynne Kiskaddon's coronation as empress. Now, all Trynne can imagine is the roar of flames, the cries of Gahalatine's people, and the smell of cinders in a city gone dark. Tragic as the threat to Kingfountain is, it's nowhere near as foul as the treachery posed by Morwenna. Saboteur, conspirator, and full-blood sister of the king, she is prepared to set forth a wave of destruction that will eliminate everything that stands between her and possession of the throne. But Trynne has her weapons, too--her magic, her resilience, her skills at intrigue, and especially, Fallon. The man who once swore his allegiance to Morwenna now stands by Trynne's side as they venture into the unknown to protect those they love, reunite with a family scattered by diabolical forces, and safeguard a kingdom...as well as the destiny the Fountain has for each of them.

In the year 2450, peace is commonplace for the Interstellar Earth Republic. Captain Dennis Masilleo has been in command of the IERS Monitor for eight years. The former captain of the Monitor, Zeta Smith, is now a Huzlorian count and is the ruler of the city of Dublesh on the planet Huzlor. But from the darkest reaches of space, a group of enemies is about to strike, and peace for Masilleo, Smith, and the rest of humanity is about to be shattered. Evil is on the move, and it is bringing death and destruction to the worlds of the Interstellar Earth Republic and into the lives of the crew of the Monitor. The greatest danger Earth has ever faced is about to be unleashed, and a war of unbelievable magnitude will spread across the known galaxy. The crew of the Monitor will be tested like they never have been before, and everything they hold dear will be shaken to its foundation. Even if they are successful in defeating this evil, they will still have to face an even greater opponent who is lurking in the shadows close to home. It will be as if the universe itself has turned on humanity, and many people will be considered to be among the forsaken multitude. This is the fourth book in the Interstellar Monitor series.

The prophet Jeremiah lived in perilous and strange times, just like we do. He was elected and sanctified and appointed prophet by God unto the nations, foremost to Judah but also to the neighboring nations. Jeremiah lived in times of great apostasy, just like we do. Judah had forsaken the LORD, the covenant, the Law and God sent Jeremiah to tell the people that if they did not return to the LORD, the covenant and the Law that God would have to forsake them and to punish them by Nebuchadnezzar, the Chaldean king. They would have to return to the LORD, and to stop shedding innocent blood, stop with their adultery, stop with their idolatry; “For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings” (Jer. 4:3-4). Judah did not hearken to the LORD, they did not return to the LORD, they did not stop shedding innocent blood, they did not stop with their idolatry, they did not stop with their adultery, so the LORD punishes them as promised by carrying them away to Babylon for seventy years. When reading the book of Jeremiah, it is very clear that his message is very timeless, one could believe that Jeremiah could stand here in contemporary Christianity in the end of 2022 and preach the same message, it would fit right in. We have forsaken the LORD and we have forsaken his Word. This is our greatest sin, and if we do not repent and return to the LORD and his Word the same fate will befall us. At least in Sweden has contemporary Christianity shown its contempt for God’s Word, and a great apostasy is lingering showing its face everywhere. God’s Word is denied, the order of creation is denied, no clear teaching is at all on the horizon. And they laugh to scorn any message of doom and judgment. I have therefore written this book, hoping to wake up an disobedient Christianity.
