Although most of the spawning occurs during the spring months, bass have been known to spawn during almost every month of the year. From five to twenty thousand eggs may be laid by a single female fish. Being adhesive, the eggs adhere to. Roots, stones and other mate rials in the nest, which is guarded by the male parent.
