Among the preparatory activities for the International Conference on Population and Development at the national level has been the preparation by participating countries of national reports describing the population situation, policies and programmes of the country concerned and the steps required to reach population goals in each country. The present document contains an overview of those reports. The full synthesis of the national reports is currently available in draft form as an information document for the Conference.
