Janet M. Moreland is not a poet of the classical era. In ""Spilled Words,"" her free verse, prose and lyrical rhythms may be separated for a given poem, then mixed with wild abandon as her heart spills words upon the printed page. ""Spilled Words"" contains poems for family and friends, for loves remembered, words from her Cherokee spirit, all of which may enchant or annoy but are sure to entertain. Her sense of humor is never far away and gives an insight into the life of this singular poet, who describes herself as a ""recluse, living in an oasis in the midst of the barren desert, where I may wander with the spirits who dwell in these mystical mountains."" Here also are some of her short stories and a poem titled ""Thunder's Mother,"" which was written for children. Janet strives to entertain, and here is her entertainment at its best, as when she writes: I shall visit that place called Solitude again. It's peopled with interesting, vaporous souls who haunt its spaces in search of new touches.

In Spilled Words, the newest addition to Cici. B's growing list of raw and profound written works, she delivers a filterless snapshot of her love, pain, growth and resolve. Her trademark wittiness seamlessly blends with a familiar approach yet entirely new format to her writing. It is a story unlike any other in that it is made up entirely of quotes, but still somehow paints a beautiful and complete picture. If actions speak louder than words, her latest piece shows that she not only lives and breathes her words, she bleeds them, and spills them unapologetically onto the page.

Download License to Spill: How Do We Discuss Spillovers in Article IV Staff Reports Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
This paper dives into the Fund’s historical coverage of cross-border spillovers in its surveillance. We use a state-of-the-art deep learning model to analyze the discussion of spillovers in all IMF Article IV staff reports between 2010 and 2019. We find that overall, while the discussion of spillovers decreased over time, it was pronounced in the staff reports of some systemically important economies and during periods of global spillover events. Spillover discussions were more prominent in staff reports covering advanced and emerging market economies, possibly reflecting their role as sources of global spillovers. The coverage of spillovers was higher in the context of the real, financial, and external sectors. Also, countries with larger economies, higher trade and capital account openess and lower inflation are more likely to discuss spillovers in their Article IV staff reports.
