Our God is a God in motion! Creating, flowing, drawing, propelling, lifting, growing and shaping His kids... it's natural to respond to Him in in the same manner - in movement. David writes "O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker." And the Apostle Paul declares "In Him we live and MOVE and have our being!" Acts 17:28I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of Himshall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord! Psalm 104:34For much of my Christian walk I thought worship was only the 'singing part' of our Sunday morning services. But if we study the word 'sing', in Psalms 104:34, we learn it is the Hebrew word Shiyr (sheer). It gives the idea of strolling minstrelsy. Its root word means to travel and turn! Movement In Worship! This journal series captures thirty-two Hebrew and Greek words for movement in worship, and the chapters and verses where you will find worship movement expressed in scripture.Throughout the series you'll find each word defined by Strong's concordance. The following journal pages contain the scriptures revealing the particular movement expression. The bolded word, in each scripture reference, is what is called the "locator word" - or how you see it in the verse. There are pages for journaling and random pages for capturing your ideas for movement/dance in worship. It is my hope that as you meditate on His word you, too, will gain a deeper understanding of the effect of your own movement in worship. I believe you will experience a deeper intimacy and a greater power in prayer and ministry as you add movement to your heart expression, both in your personal worship and in your corporate gatherings. So, let's get moving!
