The word "mystery" last appears in the Bible in Revelation 17:7. Both the beast with seven heads and (the harlot) Mystery Babylon are referred to as a mystery. The heads are described as seven mountains and seven kings. We are told the harlot sits upon the seven mountains. For centuries Christians have debated the meaning of the seven mountains where the harlot sits. These mountains are associated with great blasphemy and the rule over all the kingdoms of the world.What no one has done is to show that there is a distinct group of seven mountains in the Bible that holds the answer to the seven mountains of Revelation 17. The purpose of this book is to show that there is a distinct group of seven mountains revealed in the Bible by the revelator of the mysteries of God. The Bible reveals that seven successive kingdoms/empires rule over these mountains throughout history. These mountains are associated with the rule over all kingdoms and all upon the earth and in heaven. Scripture is the best interpreter of Scripture. The Word of God is silent about the Seven Hills of Rome. Revelation speaks of seven mountains, not hills. The Greek word oros is translated as mountain throughout the book of Revelation. Neither Rome nor the site of the ancient city of Babylon is associated with seven mountains.Throughout the Bible and across the ages, the mountains of Israel have witnessed the conflicts between God's people and their enemies. These were the sites where the Son of God confronted and defeated Satan and his demons. They are the focus of the world today. In the future, the whole world will again be fixated on these biblical heights. The final conflict at the end of this age will take place amid the mounts of Israel.
