I remember when I first decided to try freelance writing. I was in my middle-twenties. I had a degree in writing from a notable university. I had cautioned by university instructors that writing professionally was a hard thing to get into. They told me not to quit my day job. I didn't want to hear these things. When I exited college, I looked for jobs with magazines and other outlets. I submitted tons of writing samples, crafted countless articles, and spent way too much of my time trying to get a professional job. It was like trying to find a gold needle in a golden haystack. It was near impossible. I started to hate writing. I finally stopped trying to find a job. I decided instead to write because I loved writing. I didn't make any money doing this. I did, however, come up with some great portfolio content that I started using to get some freelance writing gigs. I ran into another problem though. The freelance work was very competitive. Many clients wanted me to write for a penny per word. Most of the assignments were 500 word search engine optimization articles. If the hiring agent didn't like the artice (many wanted something for nothing), they didn't pay me. Plus, a penny a word at five hundred words, well, it's only five dollars-not a living wage here in the United States of America. I quickly learned that many of these SEO companies were hiring writers from India and the Philippines. Writers in these countries loved making a penny per word. The cost of living in these countries is much lower though, and the standard of living most people in these countries are accustomed to living, well, it's much lower also. To these writers a penny per word was a living wage. I felt like a victim of circumstance. I wanted to be a professional writer, earn a half-way decent living, and make a name for myself as a writer. Everywhere I turned, I was met with defeat, though. I was about to give up but someone gave me an idea. It was a brilliant idea, in hindsight, and from this one idea I have discovered many secrets to making it as a high-paid freelance writer. I now have more work than I can handle. I have clients with their hands out, wanting to pay me upfront so I'll give priority to their writing tasks. I make more than enough money to survive on. I finally am living the dream. I am writing this book so you can enjoy the same benefits. I want you to be able to pursue your passion for writing and make not just a little money, but, rather, a lot of money as a writer. You may be a little sceptical at this point in the book. I would be too! Trust me though, when you've finished reading this short read, you'll know exactly what to do to make a lucrative living as a high-in-demand, professional freelance writer. I'm going to be sharing all my secrets with you and giving the exact blueprint I am using to make a great living as a freelance writer. I really wish someone would have written this book a long time ago. I would have surely bought it and saved myself years of misery trying to figure this all out on my own. I am glad you don't have to. You can learn these secrets and apply them starting today. When you do, you'll probably have your first high-paying writing gig also today!
