Earnest students. With the present Part, we come almost to an end Of the more important of what may be called the minor Glossaries. Those who Wish to work at dialects can only be thankful for the time and expense saved by such reprints as are given in the present volume. The reader will find here collected all the dialectal words contained in no less than ten volumes, since Kennett's work (ed. 1818) is in two volumes, Britton's Beauties Of Wiltshire in three, and Glossary XIX. Also contains words from the Monthly Magazine for 1814. Little need be said here about the several Glossaries, as each has a brief Introduction of its own prefixed to it but I may add a few words as to the copies to which I had access.
