Major activity during this quarterly reporting period pertaining to the Geologic Program was the receipt of the Fischer assay results from the reassay of the lower portion of coreholes G-S 4-5 and G-S 6; receipt of Fischer assay results for core samples withheld from assay in coreholes G-S 2-3, G-S 4-5, and G-S 6 for mechanics testing; finalizing topographic mapping on 84 Mesa located to the north and east of Tract C-a; and the initiation of the preparation of 1,116 feet of core to be split from the G-S 7 core for analysis by the USGS for a complete suite of trace elements.

"Rio Blanco Oil Shale Project is conducting a surface and sub-surface Hydrologic Program to establish baseline hydrologic data and to supply the data required to design mine dewatering. RBOSP Progress Report 2 presented the hydrologic data obtained during the corehole drilling program. RPOSP Progress Report 3 presented the data collected during formal pump testing. This progress report will present continuing data collected from the hydrologic monitoring program, data from the drilling of monitor hole 5, as well as hydrologic interpretive analyses. Interpretive information based on data collected to date in this report includes recharge and leakage effects, permeability, apparent velocities, pizometric levels, transmissivity areal plots and Theis and Jacob plot analysis. In addition, areal distribution of selected chemical constituents are also plotted" --Leaf 1.

"The purpose of the surface and subsurface Hydrologic Program conducted by Rio Blanco Oil Shale Project [RBOSP] is to establish baseline hydrologic environments, to collect data for mine dewatering design and water right acquisition relating to Tract C-a oil shale development. RBOSP Progress Report 6 submits to the [Area Oil Shale Office] AOSO the data generated by the Hydrologic Program through February 1976, in two parts, the Interpretive Text and Raw Data. The Interpretive Text includes explanations of hydrological data collected in the field, analytical results of water samples by lab methods, and data from the gaging stations associated with Tract C-a submitted by the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey. Raw Data volume contains computerized printouts of such materials"--Leaf 1.
