The Committee on Streets of the Board of Assistant Aldermen, to whom were referred the annexed resolution and ordinance (before the passage of the new Charter) to curb, gutter, etc., Eighty-fifth street, from Avenue A to First avenue, respectfully REPORT: That, having examined the subject, they believe the proposed improvement to be necessary. They therefore recommend the adoption of said resolution and ordinance. Resohzed, That on both sides of Eighty-fifth street, from Avenue A to First avenue, curb and gutter stones be set, and the sidewalks be flagged and reflagged full width, where not already done, under the direction of the Com missioner of Public Works; and that the accompanying ordinance therefor be adopted. Resolution, as follows: Resolved, That permission be and the same is hereby given to the Knickerbocker Ice Company to remove the scales now in East street, near Delancey street, to the northwest corner of Delancey and East streets, the work to be done at their own expense, under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Works, such permission to continue only during the pleasure of the Common Council. Assistant Alderman Healy moved that the paper be received and placed upon file. ' Which was carried. Resolution, as follows: Resolved, That permission be 'and the same is hereby given to C. D. Doscher, to place and keep a wateringtrough opposite No. Oliver street, corner of Madison street, the work to be done and water supplied at his own ' expense, under the direction of the Commissioner of Public Works; such permission to continue only during the pleasure of the Common Council.
