Palm Beach County is engaged in a beach preservation program intended to control beach erosion within the county. The beaches of the Towns of Ocean Ridge and Briny Breezes, located south of South Lake Worth Inlet, are in a state of critical erosion. The South Lake Worth Inlet evaluation is being conducted to identify the effects of the inlet and fixed sand transfer plant on the adjacent beaches and to identify actions which may be taken to assist in erosion control.
