During this period of time considerable sums of money have been spent on investigations made to determine the usefulness of various materials which might find employment in the industry. While many of the results have been communicated to the manufacturers, they have never been placed in a form for ready reference. It is hoped, therefore, that this volume, with its complete index and many illustrations, will prove useful for this purpose, and at the same time serve as a guide to the student who desires to be in touch with recent work on the technology of paint.
