Download Optimization with Multivalued Mappings Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
This book focuses on the tremendous development that has taken place recently in the field of of nondifferentiable nonconvex optimization. Coverage includes the formulation of optimality conditions using different kinds of generalized derivatives for set-valued mappings (such as, for example, the co-derivative of Mordukhovich), the opening of new applications (the calibration of water supply systems), and the elaboration of new solution algorithms (e.g., smoothing methods).

Download Multivalued Analysis and Nonlinear Programming Problems with Perturbations Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
The book presents a treatment of topological and differential properties of multivalued mappings and marginal functions. In addition, applications to sensitivity analysis of nonlinear programming problems under perturbations are studied. Properties of marginal functions associated with optimization problems are analyzed under quite general constraints defined by means of multivalued mappings. A unified approach to directional differentiability of functions and multifunctions forms the base of the volume. Nonlinear programming problems involving quasidifferentiable functions are considered as well. A significant part of the results are based on theories and concepts of two former Soviet Union researchers, Demyanov and Rubinov, and have never been published in English before. It contains all the necessary information from multivalued analysis and does not require special knowledge, but assumes basic knowledge of calculus at an undergraduate level.

Download Continuous Optimization and Variational Inequalities Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
The proposed book provides a comprehensive coverage of theory and methods in the areas of continuous optimization and variational inequality. It describes theory and solution methods for optimization with smooth and non-smooth functions, for variational inequalities with single-valued and multivalued mappings, and for related classes such as mixed variational inequalities, complementarity problems, and general equilibrium problems. The emphasis is made on revealing generic properties of these problems that allow creation of efficient solution methods. Salient Features The book presents a deep, wide-ranging introduction to the theory of the optimal control of processes governed by optimization techniques and variational inequality Several solution methods are provided which will help the reader to develop various optimization tools for real-life problems which can be modeled by optimization techniques involving linear and nonlinear functions. The book focuses on most recent contributions in the nonlinear phenomena, which can appear in various areas of human activities. This book also presents relevant mathematics clearly and simply to help solve real life problems in diverse fields such as mechanical engineering, management, control behavior, traffic signal, industry, etc. This book is aimed primarily at advanced undergraduates and graduate students pursuing computer engineering and electrical engineering courses. Researchers, academicians and industry people will also find this book useful.

Download Set-valued Optimization Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
Set-valued optimization is a vibrant and expanding branch of mathematics that deals with optimization problems where the objective map and/or the constraints maps are set-valued maps acting between certain spaces. Since set-valued maps subsumes single valued maps, set-valued optimization provides an important extension and unification of the scalar as well as the vector optimization problems. Therefore this relatively new discipline has justifiably attracted a great deal of attention in recent years. This book presents, in a unified framework, basic properties on ordering relations, solution concepts for set-valued optimization problems, a detailed description of convex set-valued maps, most recent developments in separation theorems, scalarization techniques, variational principles, tangent cones of first and higher order, sub-differential of set-valued maps, generalized derivatives of set-valued maps, sensitivity analysis, optimality conditions, duality and applications in economics among other things.

Download Vector Optimization Book in PDF, Epub and Kindle
This book presents fundamentals and important results of vector optimization in a general setting. The theory developed includes scalarization, existence theorems, a generalized Lagrange multiplier rule and duality results. Applications to vector approximation, cooperative game theory and multiobjective optimization are described. The theory is extended to set optimization with particular emphasis on contingent epiderivatives, subgradients and optimality conditions. Background material of convex analysis being necessary is concisely summarized at the beginning.
