A GRIPPING, FEARLESS EXPLORATION OF MASCULINITY The effects of traditionally defined masculinity have become one of the most prevalent social issues of our time. In this engaging and provocative new book, beloved actor, director, and social activist Justin Baldoni reflects on his own struggles with masculinity. With insight and honesty, he explores a range of difficult, sometimes uncomfortable topics including strength and vulnerability, relationships and marriage, body image, sex and sexuality, racial justice, gender equality, and fatherhood. Writing from experience, Justin invites us to move beyond the scripts we’ve learned since childhood and the roles we are expected to play. He challenges men to be brave enough to be vulnerable, to be strong enough to be sensitive, to be confident enough to listen. Encouraging men to dig deep within themselves, Justin helps us reimagine what it means to be man enough and in the process what it means to be human.

Not Man Enough To Be A Woman®, in and of itself, is nonsensical. It is something my father said to me the night I told my parents about my pending transition, after he concluded a discourse on the virtues of his sisters. The story behind the title is in Chapter 1. This book is a love story and an apology to my family. It's a father son story of love and hate, a 23-year estrangement and a deathbed reconciliation. It's the story of my lifelong struggle with gender dysphoria and transition. It's the story of repentance and coming to Christ which led to my detransition. It is my assessment and warning of the lies and secret intentions of the trans movement of today and it's a call to action to protect our kids.

'If you stay alive long enough, people eventually catch up'Born in rural Georgia in 1947, Jayne moved to New York and became part of the 60s art scene surrounding Andy Warhol's Factory. Jayne's story follows the arc of LGBT liberation in the US - she came of age living hand-to-mouth, faced off against police at Stonewall and came out as a trans woman while she was touring Europe with her band. She went everywhere and met everyone and lived to tell the tale.Man Enough to Be a Woman is the funny, fierce memoir of Jayne's extraordinary journey, now including a new epilogue where she reflects on how the world has (almost) caught up with her.

There seems to be a lot of discussion about monogamy as it relates to the male species. We are genetically prone to seek out the affections of multiple female partners. It is in our nature to do so. But the members of our female society have decided by a general consensus that we are suppose to adapt to the concept of relationships that ultimately lead to marriage and children. There is a very grey area in my opinion. Multiple women tend to chase after the alpha males and have been known to go to war with each other in an effort to become his one and only companion. As the battle rages on men are fighting for a different way of life. We try to conquer as many women as we can before we are captured and conform to the ways of western civilization. There is nothing wrong with a committed relationship if that is ones desire. But as men we resist and try to remain a free spirit and roam freely as nature intended us to do. With this being said we often surrender our selves if we decide that we want to settle down with a woman that has captured our complete interest and start a family and a future together in some cases as man and wife. Here is where things start getting complicated. With this committed relationship we envision that our lives will become less complicated and somehow more fulfilling. This is not always the case. We have now fallen victim to the illusion of our expectations. I in no way condemn these practices but I do believe that if a man enters into this contract he should be rewarded with love, intimacy, and a partnership that creates a satisfying future of happiness. Men and women have fallen victim to these circumstances. Familiarity often breeds a level of comfort. Any member of this partnership can become too comfortable and put less effort into it over time. This is when the level of intimacy dramatically decreases. It does happen and many couples grow apart. But there is a solution if the two of them can discuss relationship issues that evolve with open and honest communication and understanding. Many couples have a dedicated date night to keep each other engaged and stimulated. It is not always an option but effort must be put forth to build that bond together and maintain that needed level of intimacy. The average man can maintain a healthy relationship with his loving partner. Just keep in mind that outside interferences come into play. This can be in the form of a lover or just family and friends putting their noses in your sacred business. That is when your bond is tested. It is hard enough to keep things going in a relationship or marriage as it is. You must love and trust each other and overcome any obstacle that may come along. That friendship can last a lifetime if you continue to work together as a team or it can break into a million pieces and shatter like a broken glass. There is no perfect formula for success. But loving each other unconditionally is a great position to be in. Listen to each other and compromise when the situation calls for it. Talk to each other and hold your secrets with sacred intentions. Work through your problems together. Be solid and create an unbreakable bond. This is not as easy as it sounds but over the years mistakes will be made and hopefully forgiven. A man can be with one woman if they are working towards a common goal. They can complete each other. Both parties must be fully committed for this to work. The goal is to become a romantic partnership. The journey is filled with obstacles that must be overcome with love and understanding that you are in this together for a lifetime. Keep that perspective and work together as a team.

From Jane Austen to Taylor Swift, a look at the surprising politics of romantic love and its dissolution. Whatever the underlying motives – be they love, financial security, or mere masochism – the fact is that getting involved in a romantic partnership is emotionally, morally, and even politically fraught. In Hard To Do, Kelli María Korducki turns a Marxist lens on the relatively short history of romantic partnership, tracing how the socio-economic dynamics between men and women have transformed the ways women conceive of domestic partnership. With perceptive, reported insights on the ways marriage and divorce are legislated, the rituals of twentieth-century courtship, and contemporary practices for calling it off, Korducki reveals that, for all women, choosing to end a relationship is a radical action with very limited cultural precedent.

Discover God in the messiness of your marriage, as popular marriage and family columnist Joshua Rogers offers spouses hope with real-life stories from his own marriage and helps you see how God is at work in the ordinary and extraordinary of your relationship. Confessions of a Happily Married Man is a husband's painfully honest account of his first ten years of marriage. It offers a window into the perspective of a man who went from "hello" to "I do" in nine months and then figured out how hard marriage could be. When Joshua Rogers thought back on the marriage books he had read or sermons about marriage he had heard, it occurred to him that he could only remember one thing about them: the stories. That's why this book is anchored by stories that other couples will relate to and can easily learn from. The stories are cringe-worthy, humorous, inspiring, heart-breaking, and full of wisdom--but the author isn't telling the reader what to do with that wisdom. He's letting the reader learn along with him as he's gradually becoming more self-aware, increasingly grateful for his wife, and surprised to discover what God is doing in the middle of it all.

What should a spouse do when the fact that the other half has been having an affair for a long time comes to light? Can a man ever understand a woman's mind? What can we do about a personal problem to which there is no easy solution? Through the prism of his personal life, the author raises many thoughtful questions on the nature of romantic love, the nature of self, power, shame, sorrow, and compassion. Explaining that what is personal is common to all and hence universal, the author says your sorrow is a way life reveals its mysteries to you if only you are willing to listen. Though this book can be read completely independently, it can also be taken as a sequel to Marriage of a Monk: A Story of My Ideas and Life.
