The Life of the late mother-general of the Society of the Sacred Heart is a notable instance of the manner in which God prepares and fashions His chosen servants so that they shall render homage to Him in a way that belongs to each one alone. Doubtless the virtues of Mother Digby as a religious of the Society which she governed for so many years are to be found in the same, or, perhaps, even in a higher degree, among those who were her sisters, and, afterwards, her daughters in religion.
