The story is about a little angel Matthew waiting for his turn to be born. He has waited a long, long time to be born, and when his turn finally comes, he is heartbroken when he is removed from the list to make way for the birth of Gods Son, Jesus. Heartbroken and angry, he leaves heaven and flies off into infinity to be on his own. Matthew is shocked to find out that a fallen angel also has his own place within infinity. The fallen angel tries to tempt Matthew to leave heaven and be with him, but when Matthews best friend, Adam, finds out that he is missing, he enlists the help of the archangel and the multitudes of heaven to rescue him. When the archangel, Adam, and St. Peter arrive at the fallen angels palace, a terrible battle ensues until God intercedes. Having angered God for the last time, the fallen angel and his minions are sent into the caverns of the underworld. God then tells Matthew that he has kept him in heaven to help announce the coming of his son to the world. God gives Matthew a golden vase containing a magical star that will help guide the shepherds and wise men to the birthplace of Jesus. Matthew flies to the middle of infinity and releases the beautiful star, and it fills the night sky, pointing the way to Bethlehem.

In a world where everyone has magic coursing through them, legend says magic itself craves a mate. Legend says those with opposite magics have the greatest chance of forming the unbreakable Bond it desires. A.B. Cerise is an obsessive-compulsive pop star with the ability to turn invisible. He’s an out bisexual with absolutely no belief in Bonds. He has a love-bruised heart, thinks dating in the spotlight is a hassle at best and a nightmare at worst, and has no intention of going through it all over again. Matthew Hellman-Levoie is the NHL’s number one goalie prospect, the youngest in a hockey dynasty, and one of the rare few who can see the unseeable. He’s a straight man who wears his heart on his sleeve, has grown up searching for a Bond, and dreams of finding the love of his life. Their magic is magnetic. Their touch is electric. They’re the textbook case for Bonding. But legend never said anything about what to do when sparks fly between people opposite in more ways than magic.

"In the magical universe there are no coincidences and there are no accidents. Nothing happens unless someone wills it to happen. The dogma of science is that the will cannot possibly affect external forces, and I think that's just ridiculous. It's as bad as the church. My viewpoint is the exact contrary of the scientific viewpoint. I believe that if you run into somebody in the street it's for a reason. Among primitive people they say that if someone was bitten by a snake he was murdered. I believe that." -- William S Burroughs Fully revised and expanded from the limited edition chapbook that first appeared in 2012, this is the first ever in-depth consideration of the significance of Magic and the Occult in the Life & Work of the writer and counter-cultural icon.

Discover for yourself why reviewers are comparing The Nethergrim to Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Ranger's Apprentice! The next great epic fantasy is here . . . For the lords of the north, land is power. The Nethergrim, now awoken and free to wreak its evil upon the world, offers the promise of victory to those ruthless enough to accept its foul bargain. One ambitious lord, eager for the chance to conquer and rule, succumbs to temptation and helps to free the Skeleth—eerie, otherworldly beings said to be unstoppable in battle. The Skeleth merge with the bodies of their victims, ruling their minds and turning them into remorseless killers. Worse yet, to kill the man inside the Skeleth only frees it to seize a new host, starting a cycle of violence that has no end. Such chilling tales are not enough to stop young Edmund, innkeeper’s son and would-be wizard, from seeking for a way to turn back the oncoming tide of destruction. Along with his best friends—Katherine the trainer of war-horses and Tom the runaway slave—Edmund searches for a magical weakness in the Skeleth, something that might allow him to break their never-ending curse. The three friends join with the legendary hero Tristan in a battle of courage, wisdom, wits, and sacrifice to stop the Skeleth from ravaging their homeland and all they hold dear. This adventurous tale that marries earthly greed to otherworldly evil is perfect for fans who enjoy the epic worlds of John Flanagan's Ranger’s Apprentice, Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones. Discover for yourself why so many are making the comparisons! Praise for The Skeleth "[A] solid contender for the teen answer to Game of Thrones." —Kirkus Reviews "Jobin is a fine writer . . . Recommend this to fans of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson or Brandon Mull’s Fablehaven series." —VOYA "With this sequel, Jobin has expanded this fantasy adventure into a series of epic proportions. . . [T]he kind of series that hooks both new and veteran readers." —Booklist "The book ends on a cliff-hanger that will have readers anticipating the next volume. Fans of the first title will enjoy this new adventure; purchase this growing series where middle school YA readers are ravenous for epic fantasy." —School Library Journal

"Move over, Percy Jackson, there’s a new girl in town." —Booklist Freya is the myth. Freya is the legend. And she’s about to make one hell of a comeback. There's far more to Sara Vanadi than meets the eye. In her prime, she was Freya, the Norse goddess of love, beauty, war, and death - though that past hardly seems to matter now. For an ancient goddess in the 21st century, true believers - and the strength they bring - are painfully hard to find. But when a new, rising power threatens to remake the world by bending the divine to its will, Sara realizes her days of hiding have ended, and a chance to claw her way out of the history books has arrived. She'll just need new clothes and a manicure before she gets started. Blending elements of fantasy and scifi in a modern-world setting, the first novel in this new young adult series by Matthew Laurence is perfect for fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. An Imprint Book
