Being a youngster in the work, it seemed manifestly improper for me to attempt to instruct the Older and wiser, in the work. I had planned, at least, to work up something for an address, as that seems to be the chief function Of this Office, but business has de Creed otherwise and I am compelled in order to carry out the custom Of a president's address to fill in with anything that comes to hand.
