A lot of people who want to learn English complain that it is too hard to learn, but what if it weren't? If English were actually really easy - and fun! - to learn, would you take a little time every day to study it? What would it mean to you if we guaranteed that you could know all the English grammar necessary for you to be fluent by studying it for 1 hour every day? That is what this book is all about. We teach you all the grammar that you need to know to become completely fluent in beginning-level English. As you learn grammar our way, the correct way, three things will happen: 1) grammar won't be hard to learn, 2) you will be able to communicate with most people on a basic level, and 3) you will actually enjoy learning it.This book is intended for everyone who wants to learn English as a non-native speaker. It teaches the basic principles of English grammar so that any ESL/ELL student can achieve basic communication skills. ESL teachers, and other teachers required to teach ESL in their classrooms, will also find this guide very helpful. We, as the English Masters, sat down and asked ourselves, "What grammar rules does someone needs to know in order to be completely fluent in English? Okay, now let's make sure every English learner has access to them." We are bringing you this book so that whoever you are - a teacher, a student learning English, a mother or father learning more English to speak at their jobs or with their children - you will know the grammar you need to communicate with other English speakers about many different situations and topics.1-Hour Grammar is the best grammar book you can find is because it is completely geared towards adults and young adults. Most ESL grammar resources are very childish, or if they have been written for adults, they aren't designed well at all and are overly complicated. This book was designed to be an attractive, easy-to-use resource from which any older student can learn because until now, something like that just didn't exist. Those considering which ESL grammar books will help them the most will find this resource to be superior, as 1-Hour Grammar teaches you the correct way. Other resources are completely incorrect when it comes to helping you learn, remember, and use English grammar, but 1-Hour Grammar bridges that gap and helps you become fluent in English, even within 1 hour of study. We guarantee that: if you study from this book for 1 hour every day, you will learn the fundamentals of English within two months. If you study grammar for 1 hour every week, we guarantee you will learn English within a year. This is proven and easy for you to master, and yes, we did say 'easy'. We know you will enjoy learning English grammar principles with this book!

The proposed book is best described as a linguistically oriented textbook taking the grammar of English as its subject matter. It is directed to professional teachers of English (ESL and EFL) and their students, as well as those currently training to become teachers of English. The book is also likely to be of interest to interpreters, translators and other English language professionals. It will explore selected aspects and problem areas of English from a broadly “functional” linguistic perspective. My experience as a teacher and teacher trainer has shown me that this perspective has the potential to inspire teachers and students with a genuine enthusiasm for the grammatical features of English and that it often enables them to “make sense” of the grammar in a way that all too often other approaches signally fail to do. An important focus of the book is on understanding grammar as a series of conventionalized patterns rather than a set of rules (which is how grammar has traditionally been presented). Moreover, unlike many other grammar books, this book emphasizes how the grammatical constructions under consideration are employed in various types of communicative situation, attention being given to the importance of discourse context in interpreting the target forms. In line with contemporary linguists generally, the approach adopted is descriptive rather than prescriptive. While the main focus is on English, I offer occasional comments on how the issue under discussion is expressed in languages other than English. Apart from the inherent interest which I hope such comparisons may have for the reader, I take the view that these can be helpful in casting further light on the grammar of English.

This English Language Grammar Reference & Teacher's Guide ( Second Edition ) has been thoughtfully created drawing on almost two-decades of accumulated knowledge and wisdom gained as an English Language Facilitator, a Teaching English as a Second Language Teacher-Trainer, and an owner / Principal of two Ministry of Education registered and Qualifications Authority accredited English language schools. The book has been created as a comprehensive alternative to the intimidating thick and costly technical grammar books most ESL teachers accumulate. These books are often filled with linguistic academic jargon that is not easily understood, not to mention being heavy to carry from class to class. With an ESL teacher's needs in mind, the book has been packed with relevant, practical classroom information, examples, and advice, as well as being a comprehensive resource to the grammar and usage of the English language. Chapter One contains a comprehensive outline to the grammar and usage of the eight ( 8 ) parts of speech found in the English language, in simple terms. You will find easy to understand explanations and real-life sentence examples for each concept. Chapter Two contains an English language punctuation guide. The guide can be used in two ways. First, the entire collection can be used as a reference to assist the ESL teacher in the correct use of punctuation. Second, the chapter can be used as a teaching tool. Each category, or a selection of categories within the chapter, can be the basis of an independent ESL lesson. Chapter Three contains a writing guide for either the teacher or their students. It provides invaluable information and guidance to all skill levels of writers who may attempt a simple composition, a more complex academic essay, or an advanced formal article. Chapter Four, Classroom Management, reflects the knowledge and wisdom gained by myself as a successful generalist educator, ESL facilitator, and a TESOL / TEFL Teacher-Trainer. I have also researched, observed and collected additional input from other passionate ESL educators and specialists. This chapter outlines classroom management techniques, and includes ways to identify and avoid potential problems, provides methods to inspire or motivate students, and expresses one of the most important concepts that an ESL teacher should gain knowledge on; the importance of cultural awareness and sensitivity. Chapter Five gives a brief comprehensive overview to the main teaching perspectives or models available. There are many approaches and methods used; some are more mainstream then others. Chapter Six provides relevant, practical advice in regard to ESL lesson design and its delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, the individual components generally found in an ESL lesson plan, the environment in which delivery takes place ( in most cases the classroom ), the physical resources and technologies that can be considered, and the interpersonal skills needed to successfully build rapport, and to be credible and respected as a professional. This book has been designed and intended as a resource, to be used while creating lessons, but also used during actual real-time teaching. As students ask grammatical or composition questions, the English Language Grammar Reference & Teacher's Guide ( Second Edition ) can be quickly accessed, explanations given, and examples modified from the book, and then written on a writing surface.
