This report relates the initial results of the fieldwork described in the Final Work Plan for a Supplemental Remedial Investigation at the Ithaca Court Street Former MGP Site, City of Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York. The study was divided into two Operable Units to expedite the investigation and evaluation of portions of the study area. Operable Unit No. 1 consists of the MGP property and the wooden duct that exists beneath West Court Street that was formerly used to transport coal tar to the Cayuga Inlet. This is an interim report which summarizes the activities conducted from October 2001 through March 2002 at Operable Unit-1 and presents a preliminary discussion of their results.
