The devil lures with sweet words and promises, do you fall for his trap or trick him instead? Can you really have it all? How to Trick the Devil tells stories of trickery and deception; of monsters lurking in unexpected places; of the lengths we might go to get what we want. Much more than your average deal-with-the-devil tale, the talented authors in this collection explore the motivations behind the choices we make, be it out of fear, greed, or desperation. The trickster works in confidence, never expecting the twists that just might tear his plans apart. Evil is not always rewarded, but the hero does not always win.

Forty-five years after the fall of Saigon, John Boyko brings to light the little-known story of Canada's involvement in the American War in Vietnam. Through the lens of six remarkable people, some well-known, others obscure, bestselling historian John Boyko recounts Canada's often-overlooked involvement in that conflict as peacemaker, combatant, and provider of weapons and sanctuary. When Brigadier General Sherwood Lett arrived in Vietnam over a decade before American troops, he and the Canadians under his command risked their lives trying to enforce an unstable peace while questioning whether they were merely handmaidens to a new war. As American battleships steamed across the Pacific, Canadian diplomat Blair Seaborn was meeting secretly in Hanoi with North Vietnam’s prime minister; if American leaders accepted his roadmap to peace, those ships could be turned around before war began. Claire Culhane worked in a Canadian hospital in Vietnam and then returned home to implore Canadians to stop supporting what she deemed an immoral war. Joe Erickson was among 30,000 young Americans who changed Canada by evading the draft and heading north; Doug Carey was one of the 20,000 Canadians who enlisted with the American forces to serve in Vietnam. Rebecca Trinh fled Saigon with her husband and young daughters, joining the waves of desperate Indochinese refugees, thousands of whom were to forge new lives in Canada. Through these wide-ranging and fascinating accounts, Boyko exposes what he calls the Devil’s wiliest trick: convincing leaders that war is desirable, persuading the public that it is acceptable, and telling combatants that the deeds they carry out and the horrors they experience are normal, or at least necessary. In uncovering Canada’s side of the story, Boyko reveals the many secret and forgotten ways that Canada not only fought the war but was forever shaped by its lessons and lies.

The inspiration to write this book was planted in my heart by the Holy Spirit over twenty years ago. I started writing chapter by chapter as the spirit inspired me. The title of each chapter was give to me by the Holy Spirit. At times I couldnt write a single word and at other times the words wouldnt stop. I was awaken sometimes in the early morning hours and midnight at times. The very title of this book was given to me a visual view. I was looking up while sitting in a warehouse when I notice that there were spider webs in the corner with an insect trapped in its web. The Holy Spirit said that mankind also is trapped in Satans web of sins. I notice that a spider was across the room in the far corner slowly making his way back to his web where upon his arrival he consumed the insect. The Holy Spirit then said that man get him or herself trapped then it may take a while for the old Devil to shows up to destroy them. Each Chapter deals with problems or demonic addictions which many in this world are dealing with. My hope is that this book will open up the eyes of ever one knowing that we all need Gods salvation and deliverance. There a many Christians walking around saved but not delivered from Generational curses and sins of their fathers and ancestors. Please understand that upon reading this book one need to eat whats for them and leave the rest for the others who needs the rest. Some readers may not be Christians or born again members of the body of Christ and may have Questions. Go to the word of God (the bible) verify scriptures and ask you pastors. We all have been commanded to study to show ourselves approved unto God.

What beliefs are core to the Christian faith? This book is here to help you understand the reason for your hope as a Christian so that you can see it with fresh sight and invite others into the conversation. A lot of Christians take their story—the narratives that give rise to their beliefs—for granted. They pray, go to church, perhaps even read their Bible. But they might be stuck if a stranger asked them to explain what they believe and why they believe it. Author, pastor, and theologian Mike Horton unpacks the essential and basic beliefs that all Christians share in a way that is easy to understand and applicable to our lives today. And in a way that will make you excited to be a Christian! Core Christianity covers topics like: Jesus as both fully God and fully man. The doctrine of the Trinity. The goodness of God despite a broken world. The ways God speaks. The meaning of salvation. What is the Christian calling? Includes discussion questions for individual or group use. This introduction to the basic doctrines of Christianity is perfect for those who are new to the faith, as well as those who have an interest in deepening their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

It's a simple fact that most Christians know next to nothing about Christianity. How many people are aware of the many heresies that were stamped out by the early Church? Had any of these heresies triumphed, the world would be a very different, and much saner place. Find out about the monstrous St Augustine and his doctrines of grace, Original Sin, Predestination and the Total Depravity of the human race. This "saint" was happy to send to hell unbaptised babies that died in infancy. His great enemy was the humane and rational Celtic monk Pelagius. The great tragedy of Christianity is that it listened to Augustine rather than Pelagius. Were the Jews advocates of temple prostitution, even within the confines of Solomon's holy temple to Yahweh? The material in this book is provided by the Pythagorean Illuminati, the oldest secret society in the world, and is not for petty, cheap, narrow-minded religious fanatics.
