It will be prefaced perhaps by laudatory remarks hailing the new class, even in its earliest appearance as Freshmen, as the greatest that has ever come to Yale. To greet 1910 in a similar way, however, would be not only conventional but also bromidic. Too many have already sung its praises to add unneces sary comment. Let its records as narrated in these pages stand for themselves. Such modesty is but a shield to cover our own personal opinions, to which we all assuredly have a right, and first among our retrospective thoughts is that September 26, 1906, will always stand out conspicuously in the annals of Yale; for it was on that day the Class of 1910 made its advent to New Haven.
