Health disparities is one of two crosscutting focus areas (the other is Social, economic and educational factors that influence health) in Healthiest Wisconsin 2020, Wisconsin’s state health plan for the 2010-2020 decade. Crosscutting focus areas have the power to influence all the health and infrastructure focus areas. They are the heart of Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 and represent Wisconsin’s public health system transformation. The drive to eliminate health disparities also builds upon an extensive research base and recommendations from notable national and global institutions and advisory bodies.
