Excerpt from General Laws of the Eighth Legislature of the State of Texas An act Making an Appropriation for the mileage and per diem pay of members and Officers of the Eighth Legislature Section 1. Be it enacted by tic Legislature of the State of is, That the sum of one hundred and ten thousand dollars, be, and the same is hereby appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, tor the mileage and pet diem pay of tin 1 members and the per diem pay of the officers of the eighth Legislature of the State of Texas, and the certificate of the Secretary of the Senate and the Chief Clerk of House of Representatives shall lie authority for the Comptroller to draw his warrant on the Treasurer for the several amounts that the members and officers are respectively entitled to.
