The first part of the document contains the general report which em braces suggestions and recommendations for legislation upon prison mat ters. The reports of the State Prison, the Massachusetts Reformatory, the Reformatory for Women, the Prison Camp and Hospital, the State Farm and the j ails and houses of correction, respectively, contain statistics that relate exclusively to those institutions, but the general statistical tables comprise particulars concerning these places with all the others.
