Inhaltsangabe:Abstract: The implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system refers to Information Systems, Business Processes, and People. Basically, it is a changing procedure in organizations that strive for company-wide high performance. Business Process Transformation is about changing a company s focus - from products to customers. Information Systems are replaced by a homogenous system environment which integrates all information into a common system. The behaviour and skills of the company-wide personnel are adapted to perform in the new "world". The big challenge of the implementation is to have the properly-trained people for a high-performance organization. Unfortunately, most companies do not recognize that need. They underestimate the impact that the human factor has on an ERP approach; they consider the implementation as a software-installation with influence to the business. But, the implementation is much more complex. This thesis is dedicated to all those persons who intend to implement an Enterprise Resource Planning system, and who want to understand the theory of Business Process Transformation and how it is linked to Enterprise Resource Planning. To emphasize the importance of the human factors within the implementation, chapter 4 elaborates on End-User Training as a significant part of an implementation for a company dedicated to becoming a high-performance organization. This paper also includes a case study of an ERP implementation at Mitel Corporation. The case study presents information about the Company, its ERP implementation, and its approach to End-User Training. "Universities often rely on complex information systems to manage student data. When higher education institutions implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems to replace legacy systems, they may introduce new processes, concepts, and terminology to the students, faculty, and staff who are the system's end users. A well-executed training plan can foster end-user adoption and increase an implementation's chance of success. This thesis project provides a blueprint for incorporating a training plan that best fits the needs of end users into an overall system implementation project plan. To effectively train end users, the training team must identify skill gaps, ascertain the most effective methods of delivery, select compelling trainers, develop materials in concert with subject matter experts, and continually evaluate the program for its effectiveness."--Abstract.

This book is intended to provide insights to companies interested in growing and in improving their administrative processes. Usually, we are all thinking about selling, depositing the checks, finding people, shipping products or delivering projects, and the administrative process are for most CEO’s not relevant. Actually, we all heard many CEO’s saying: I don’t care how you do it, but get it done! But the “How To” becomes extremely important to be efficient, have control of the operation, and obtain the right data out of the system. It is too easy to be caught up in the frenzy of the day, chasing people, products, orders, checks, and accounting tends to receive little focus for many. This is why I worked on this book. Every CEO should pay attention that once you did your first few steps as an entrepreneur (getting customers and start operating) there are formalities you need to have in order to guarantee registering all data correctly. Not just for the Department of Revenue or the IRS, but also for you. At the end of the day, the most valuable component in your business is your data. That is why having a secured, efficient and auditable system of record to store your data and be able to exploit that data via KPI’s Dashboards and reports becomes critical for your success. This book is not intended to teach experienced consultant how to implement their ERP. But rather to give the newcomers to the ERP world an insight of that they should do to implement a system successfully. This is not just my opinion, but because I used ChatGPT to write this book, the contents are what it is on the internet available already. I directly the information in order to give it a structure that made sense to me. Most implementation partners already have their own methodology, that is why this books is intended to companies that are planning to implement an ERP for the first time. Many companies put more focus in the Change Management, other ignore it completely. We can’t stress how important it is to have a Project Manager or at least one person responsible for gathering the data and preparing the data and to be the sole point of contact with the partner that is implementing the system with you. Last, I want to give many thanks to Joe Martin and Jose Fernandez Calvo for giving me ideas in how to use GPT-3 OpenAI large-scale language-generation model (aka ChatGPT) and in helping me with the technicalities not related to ERP implementation but rather in publishing this book. I also want to thank the team at Consultare America LLC that cheered when I told them that I was writing this book and encouraged me to finish it
