Ancestors and descendants of James Dunn (b. ca. 1770, d. prior to 1850), who was born in England. He came to America ca. 1800 and settled in Virginia. He married 1802 in Pittsylvania Co., Va. Dicey Martin (b. ca. 1784), daughter of John Martin and Mary Day. She was born in Spotsylvania Co., Va. of Irish ancestry. They first lived in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, then in Pulaski Co., Kentucky. Family members and descendants live in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Kentucky, California and elsewhere.
