What Do the Five Points of Calvinism Really Mean? Many have heard of Reformed theology, but may not be certain what it is. Some references to it have been positive, some negative. It appears to be important, and they'd like to know more about it. But they want a full, understandable explanation, not a simplistic one. What Is Reformed Theology? is an accessible introduction to beliefs that have been immensely influential in the evangelical church. In this insightful book, R. C. Sproul walks readers through the foundations of the Reformed doctrine and explains how the Reformed belief is centered on God, based on God's Word, and committed to faith in Jesus Christ. Sproul explains the five points of Reformed theology and makes plain the reality of God's amazing grace.

As well as the name of a virus, a corona is a crown, the pearly glow around the sun in certain astronomical conditions and a poetic form where interlinking lines connect a sequence. It is the perfect name therefore for this new collection of 150 poems by the bestselling poet Malcolm Guite, each one written in response to the Bible’s 150 psalms as they appear in William Coverdale’s timeless translation. The Psalms express every human emotion with disarming honesty, as anger and thankfulness alike are directed at God. All of life is here with its moments of beauty and its times of despair and shame. Like the Psalms themselves, the poems do not avoid the cursing and glorying over the downfall of your enemies, but wrestle honestly with them as we do when we come to say them.

This book came about when the Holy Spirit brought to my mind a vision, which I saw during one of my counselling sessions some time back. As my counsellor and I were discussing about some specific issues in my life that needed healing, I saw Jesus coming into the room and gently drawing out a broken part from my innermost being. I recognised this broken part immediately. She had short hair and was wearing long black pants and a long-sleeved white shirt. She had been feeling miserable all her life as she had carried a deep hatred in her heart toward her father. He had behaved as though he only had a son but not a daughter. I had earlier on introduced this part to Jesus during one of my quiet moments before going for counselling. She refused to listen to me. She said that “all men are the same.” I told her that Jesus is different—that he longed to woo her, heal her, and take the place of her father who was never a father to her. She was adamant, so I told her to take some time to consider.
