Water-resources data were collected to describe the hydrologic conditions at the Raleigh hydrogeologic research station, located in the Piedmont Physiographic Province of North Carolina. Data collected by the U.S. Geological Survey and the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Water Quality, from May 2005 through September 2007 are presented in this report. Three well clusters and four piezometers were installed at the Raleigh hydrogeologic research station along an assumed flow path from recharge to discharge areas.

Water-resources data were collected to describe the hydrologic conditions at the Raleigh hydrogeologic research station, located in the Piedmont Physiographic Province of North Carolina. The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Management, in cooperation with the NC Center for Geographic Information and Analysis, developed the GIS data set, Hydrogeology - NC Piedmont and Blue Ridge. This file shows hydrogeology for approximately the western half of North Carolina, as produced by Charles Daniel and RA Payne on their "Hydrogeologic Unit Map of the Piedmont and Blue Ridge Provinces of North Carolina". This map has a 1:500,000-scale. Linework was digitized from the US Geological Survey Water-Resources Investigations Report 90-4035.
