Cursed is the one who will not uphold the words of this Torah, to perform them; and the entire people shall say, Amen (Deut. 27:26 TJB). King David wrote of Torah: The law of the Lord is perfect, converting my soul . . . the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes (Ps. 19:78). He also wrote, I will delight myself in Your statutes, I will not forget Your word. . . . Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, for I delight in it . . . I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love. . . . Your statutes have been my songs, in the house of my pilgrimage. . . . The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy, teach me Your statutes (Ps. 119) Centuries later, Martin Luther wrote: The law, when it is in its true sense, doth nothing else but reveal sin, engender wrath, accuse and terrify men, so that it bringeth them to the very brink of desperation. This is the proper use of the law, and here it hath an end, and it ought to go no further. Who was right? Was the Torah a gracious gift of a loving God, providing guidance for all generations and for all time, or was its giving a malicious act of God against the children of Israel? Did Jesus fulfill the law in such a way as to be not applicable to his followers even though his early followers, the apostles, and disciples did not believe so, continuing to be Torah observant and practicing Judaism in a Messianic context? When the Church of Rome condemned the Nazarenes as heretics, were they not also proclaiming the Jewish followers of Jesus as heretics, including the twelve apostles? This study attempts to answer those questions.

Young people are walking away from the church and those still in the church often struggle with indifference about their faith. But it doesn't have to be this way. It's time for a revolution, a holy uprising. A riot. With passion and authenticity, teen author Sara Barratt calls on her generation to reject apathy and embrace a daring, costly faith. Not content with safe religion that demands nothing of us, Sara shows teens how they can stop giving in to the status quo and devote themselves fully to Christ, following him no matter what their friends do or the culture around them does. She challenges them to give everything over--their comfort zones, their time, their loyalties, their pride--and discover that in losing control they are gaining the life that was meant for them all along. Love Riot is a battle cry from one teen to another to embrace a life of wholehearted commitment and relentless abandon for Christ . . . no matter the cost.

The question that Paul set before the ancient church in Corinth -- Do you not recognize that Jesus Christ is in and among you? (2 Cor 13:5) -- remains a critical question for the church today. This commentary by Mark Seifrid seeks to hear Paul s message afresh and communicate it to our time. Seifrid offers a unified reading of 2 Corinthians, which has often been regarded as a composite of excerpts and fragments. He argues that Paul s message is directed at the practical atheism of the Corinthian church -- the hidden heresy that assumes God s saving work in the world may be measured by outward standards of success and achievement. Like all of the Pillar volumes, Seifrid s commentary on 2 Corinthians offers careful grammatical analysis and exegesis with clear pastoral application.

Life Is Never Mainly About Love and Marriage. So Learn to Live and Date for More. Many of you grew up assuming that marriage would meet all of your needs and unlock God's purposes for you. But God has far more planned for you than your future marriage. Not Yet Married is not about waiting quietly in the corner of the world for God to bring you "the one," but about inspiring you to live and date for more now. If you follow Jesus, the search for a spouse is no longer a pursuit of the perfect person, but a pursuit of more of God. He will likely write a love story for you different than the one you would write for yourself, but that's because he loves you and knows how to write a better story. This book was written to help you find real hope, happiness, and purpose in your not-yet-married life.

Obedience: a very unpopular topic in the end times worldly church! Look in a bookstore, Christian catalog, or online. How many books are there on obedience to God and obeying His commands in worship and life? None, you say? Does that mean Satan is alive and well in the latter days, deceiving even Christian authors, publishers, and buyers that obedience is now old fashion? This book, Eternal Salvation to All Who Obey Him, from Hebrews 5:9, is a rare book of this century and the latter apostate days of the church. It honors God. It shows not only how obedience is permeated throughout the Christian life, but that we are saved by obedience to His commands. Jesus predicted many false teachers in the end times which became true. False doctrines like Calvinism, Antinomianism, once saved always saved, eternal security, etc. have taken over God's main theme in Holy Scripture: obedience. There are over 200 Scriptures in the New Testament alone on obedience. Is Jesus really your Lord? Can you prove you love Jesus (John 14:15) and know Jesus (1 John 2:3-6) by your obedience? Will you really go to heaven as shown in the Book of Revelation? (Revelation 14:12?) We need a revival in the world to get back to the basics of Christianity and God's people. We must get back to the responsibility of man as God has commanded, and that is to live by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! We must refute Satan and his false teachings in these latter days. We must learn the tricks and deceptions of Satan and make the Word our final authority. We must know that Satan can easily deceive those who do not make God's Word their final authority in life. We must obey God rather than man!

If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. – John 15:10 God will not honor the person who is not obedient. For us to have favor with God, obedience is of utmost importance. To obey is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22). This is evident from the very beginning of the Bible to the very end: Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have a right to the tree of life (Revelation 22:14). From Paradise lost to Paradise regained, the necessity for obedience remains the same. It is only obedience that restores access to the tree of life and favor with God. While the original disobedience was the cause of humanity's fall, through the obedience of Christ to the Father, and through our obedience to Christ, we can once again be restored. Although he was the Son of God, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered; and being made perfect, he became the author of eternal saving health unto all those that hearken unto him (Hebrews 5:8-9). Let this study awaken in you an earnest desire to fully know God’s will concerning this truth. Let us unite in praying that the Holy Spirit will show us how defective the Christian’s life is in which obedience does not rule everything. Let us desire to learn how that life can be exchanged for one of full surrender to absolute obedience, and how certain it is that God, through Christ, will enable us to live it out.
