Excerpt from Celebration of the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Incorporation of the Town of Brunswick: June 13, 1889 In addition to the one thousand dollars appropriated by the town the General Committee received from Bowdoin College the sum of one hundred dollars which was voted in aid of the celebration at the annual meeting of the Boards in 1888. Miss Salome H. Snow also, without solicitation, sent her check for fifty dollars, and a consider able sum was raised by subscription for particular features of the celebration, as shown in the financial statement in the appendix.
