Los nuevos planteamientos de la Ley Educativa proponen una visión más amplia de los objetivos y aprendizajes en la enseñanza de la Educación Física. La propuesta de la Ley Educativa, sobre todo en materia de Educación Física, posibilita al enseñante un abanico muy amplio a la hora de elaborar tanto nuevos planteamientos didácticos y metodológicos como innovaciones en cuanto a las actividades y a la concepción de lo que puede ser el aprendizaje de la Educación Física. De esta manera se puede abordar este aprendizaje con un espíritu más creativo y novedoso para llegar a conseguir la adquisición de los objetivos educativos. Esta obra pretende aportar al profesional un prototipo de unidad didáctica en la que se dan a conocer los procedimientos de aprendizaje necesarios para impartir la enseñanza de los bailes de salón según las pautas marcadas por la Ley Educativa. Con el título genérico de BAILES DE SALÓN se desarrollan dos partes diferenciadas en las que se complementan la teoría y la práctica. En la primera, se aborda la justificación teórica, vinculación al diseño curricular, historia, ritmo y musicalidad de los bailes de salón. En la segunda, se proponen, en las diferentes Unidades Didácticas, las actividades que, estructuradas en tres bloques de diez sesiones incluyen además de metodología y práctica de cada uno de los bailes propuestos, los objetivos y las distintas posibilidades de evaluación. Para facilitar la comprensión y dar soporte audiovisual a la realización de las sesiones se acompaña el libro con un DVD que en perfecta sintonía con los apartados del texto sirve tanto al profesorado como a los alumnos.
