My point of view is neither one-sidedly empirical, nor purely spiritualistic. On the former view Psychology has nothing to do with the Soul, on the latter the body is the mere reflex of the mind. In opposition to the former view, I have discussed at length the nature of the Soul, its origin, and future; whilst I have diverged from the latter in trying to estimate the results of Anthropology and Physiology.
