The phrase "walk the path" is a metaphor for the life journey of those who aim toward spiritual illumination. We all have our own unique journey in life, and no one can walk that path for us or prescribe the way we should go. Nevertheless, we sometimes encounter a fellow traveler along the way with whom insights and experiences can be shared. There is much to discuss, because today we can no longer rely on the dogmas and orthodoxies of human history. Spiritual illumination today demands a path of knowledge without preconception and fixed worldviews. This book is written for those who have come to the point of deciding that the best thing they can do for the good of the earth and for their own fulfillment is to approach life as a quest for self-knowledge and true inner freedom. For them, this book will be an invaluable roadmap and guide for the many important milestones and crossroads we encounter in life. Michael Burton offers seven chapters that echo the seven stages of the alchemical process of illumination. It is written in such a way that it not only imparts information but also engages the reader's life of feeling and will. No one can read this book and not be challenged to walk the path toward inner transformation.

Peter Kreeft invites seekers to accompany Socrates on the search for truth. With sharp questions and canny wit he will coach you past the winsome, the wily and the half-wise spin-doctors of error who populate the ancient byways. In classic Kreeftian style, this narrative entertains even as it provides a convincing apologetic.

We all are on a spiritual journey called the journey to God. The journey starts from ‘I’, as various ego identifications, and gets completed when we realize ourselves- as we truly are. It starts when the soul after coming from the Spirit, starts its outward journey in the illusionary materialistic world. During the journey, juggling through the maze of Maaya- illusions, it forgets its true identity and starts assuming many false identifications with name, fame, forms, caste, color, status, etc. But a stage comes when not getting permanent happiness, after suffering in many incarnations, a spiritual awakening comes. We- the individual souls then start looking for spiritual direction. We shift focus and start our inward journey looking for The Spirit- our own true identity. This book describes in detail the whole journey and how it matters to us. Various Questions about life then start emerging. A small voice within begins to question: Who am I? who is God? why God made the world? what is my relationship with God? what is the purpose of my creation? Who am I and why do I matter? The Search for the meaning of life thus begins. These questions appear quite often in our lifetime but we turn away from them. There are many moments we are provoked to ask these. We feel since childhood, a vague nostalgia for more, a divine longing. In many ways, it is the central struggle of every human life. And whether you are 7 or 70 or someplace in between, you need to know these. This book came to life when in one of my meditation classes, I was asked to answer the question of who I am- the most profound and deepest question of all the time; the first question in all philosophies. Sometimes we avoid discovering what we are. It is mainly because inquiring earnestly could mean the death of something we hold onto, like the idea we have of ourselves, the personality, ego, and all that comes with it. Though it took around 60 days to complete this book, it contains 60 years of my introspection on these soul-searching questions. I have tried to share my knowledge on these questions in a very simple structured way, with a number of examples, stories, poems, experiments, inferred deductions, and Vedic explanations., The book will surely attract sufficient attention and stretch of mind in certain places to understand the subtle subject. After realization, the journey gets completed and the soul merges back with the spirit from which it came. We feel oneness with God and everything. This journey normally is a very long one, involving many incarnations with all the pains and pleasures which life throws before us. But as the masters say, we can complete the journey in one lifetime, reaching the ultimate realization called Nirvana, Moksha. In that stage, as Vivekananda says, “I has all become and all is I. Oneness in all beings. All beings in self and self in all beings”. That is freedom from suffering and sorrow. Journey with me, know about you and find the purpose of life. The journey through this book will transform you from a limited ‘I’ to an infinite Self. You are already that. The book will bring up to your active awareness the things you already knew deep within but have forgotten now.

Winner of the Janey Loves 2022 Platinum Award Popular meditation leader and poet John Siddique draws on more than 40 years of practice to offer this uniquely helpful road map to the spiritual journey, highlighting the changes that show us we’re making progress and the obstacles that will certainly come up. This book is a guide to the spiritual path that clearly reveals the signposts of success on the journey, as well as the blockages and traps that hold us back from a life of presence, meaning and enlightenment. By laying out the signs and blockages clearly and honestly and with a lot of love and humour, the book offers a wonderful resource for growth. Whatever level of freedom the reader feels drawn to – basic human freedom, or the great goal of the spiritual life of enlightenment – this roadmap will guide readers to tread the path of their ordinary life and receive the benefit in the here and now. From Signpost 1, The Arising of Questions to, finally, Signpost 16, Giving Everything to Love, the book explores all the indications of progress those who embark on a spiritual journey will encounter, offering reassurance as well as highlighting blocks such as the painbody, object consciousness, spiritual bypassing, the cult of individualism and dualistic thinking, and hard-to-spot cultural, religious and spiritual influences. In addition to sharing encouraging real-life stories, the books also offers a huge range of tools and practices, from using writing and drawing to explore our own teachability to self-reflections designed to expand awareness and let go of ego, to instructions for effective, safe, meditative practices little known in the West.
