The reader of this book will soon see that God has meant for the believers in Christ to become more and more desirous to be with Christ than in this world. (2Co 5:2) For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: (Heb 11:16) But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. (Php 1:23) For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: This is what happens to the believer by God's design. Soon the Christian is singing the songs and meaning them "This world is not my home I'm just passing through." God begins every new Christian's life in Christ with visions of the heavenlies and one by one they accumulate in us until we see the other side more clearly than we see the world we live in. Each revelation of Christ, each reality of life in Him, each Scripture that is embedded in our hearts and minds, will cause us to soon take on the appearance in actions as well as speech of those who are more heavenly minded than earthly minded. (Php 2:5-8) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6.Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7.But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8.And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. (Rom 8:5-6) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6.For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Each thing the Holy Spirit does in the life of a believer is meant to make them more and more into that redeemed person who will walk in that city with Christ. We will and are changed to be like Him. (2Co 3:18) But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. In this book you will see the many instances that He did so in the Scriptures, and you can see the same things taking place in your life. HE DOES NOT INTEND TO LEAVE YOU LIKE HE FOUND YOU. YOU WILL BE CHANGED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. HE WILL CHANGE YOUR MIND. (Php 2:5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: YOU, AS A BELIEVER, WILL DESIRE TO LEAVE THIS WORLD AND BE IN THAT WORLD WITH CHRIST. (Php 1:23) For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: THIS ALL HAPPENS AS WE TAKE ON CHIRST IN THIS WORLD AND THIS TIME. (Col 1:27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY. CREATED IN YOU THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD, FAITH IN CHRIST, AND THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (Php 2:5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: BELIEVERS ARE NOT DIFFERENT THAN THEIR MASTER. BELIEVERS RECEIVE THE WORD OF GOD JUST AS THEIR MASTER DID.
