This book tells a story about a group of boys who decide to spend their entire school recess picking on other students. They believe this is a way to have fun. One boy, who is the narrator, senses that what he is doing is wrong but is afraid to admit it to his friends for fear of being bullied himself. They bully several classmates before getting caught by their principal. The boys suffer the consequences of their hurtful actions and have to contact their parents. The narrator ends up apologizing to his victims and asks for and receives their forgiveness. Although dealing with a serious topic in school age children, this book uses rhyme and humorous illustrations to get the lesson across to the readers. It is meant to show how "group think" works even in young children. But it also shows that difficult situations can be resolved in a positive manner.
