Enden has been peaceful for many years except for the few border raids by the Races of Chaos, mostly by the Saurians. In the background are the Elden, a race of warriors who opposed Chaos on rare occasions. So rare that the Elden have been considered just a legend. The Elden Warlord, Cahan MacHaimheirgin, is given information about the new Saurian Outposts that are being built. Although the Saurians give the appearance of just fortifying their border there are strong indications the outposts are much more than they appear. At a meeting of the leaders of the Races of Order, the Elden are requested to reoccupy their old Holds, vacant for five hundred years, and reestablish a presence that could deter a Saurian invasion that would plunge Enden into war. The Bursh, a race of sorcerers, allied with the Races of Chaos, are concerned about a Saurian invasion as well for it could endanger the future Master Plan of World Conquest, a plan that is sponsored by the Race of Demons, leaders of Chaos. The plan could fail if the Elden reestablish a presence. The Bursh need to find the Holds and a way to neutralize them and the Elden.

A spirit-stirring debut about basketball, family, and an unlikely underdog who overcomes adversity to become a legend Basketball prodigy Jimmy “Kamikaze” Kirkus is destined for the NBA. But before he can sail off into a golden future, Jimmy must reckon with a tragic past and with a curse that has haunted his family for generations. His father had been a basketball great himself, but his dreams of stardom were traded in for a hasty marriage and parenthood. Born into a house haunted by wasted talent, alcoholism, and death, will Jimmy fall victim to the Kirkus Curse or break it once and for all? In the same vein as the wildly popular Friday Night Lights, Rules for Becoming a Legend uses sports as a lens through which to understand family, community, catastrophe, and hope. This spirit-igniting debut announces Lane as an extraordinary young writer to watch.

Respect the Legend. Idolize the Prodigy. Celebrate the Champion. But never underestimate the Rebel. With unmatched suspense and her signature cinematic storytelling, #1 New York Times–bestselling author Marie Lu plunges readers back into the unforgettable world of Legend for a truly grand finale. Eden Wing has been living in his brother’s shadow for years. Even though he’s a top student at his academy in Ross City, Antarctica, and a brilliant inventor, most people know him only as Daniel Wing’s little brother. A decade ago, Daniel was known as Day, the boy from the streets who led a revolution that saved the Republic of America. But Day is no longer the same young man who was once a national hero. These days he’d rather hide out from the world and leave his past behind. All that matters to him now is keeping Eden safe—even if that also means giving up June, the great love of Daniel’s life. As the two brothers struggle to accept who they’ve each become since their time in the Republic, a new danger creeps into the distance that’s grown between them. Eden soon finds himself drawn so far into Ross City’s dark side, even his legendary brother can’t save him. At least not on his own . . .

“Gracefully interweav[es] Arthurian legend, realistic and magical elements, humor, and heartbreak . . . an engrossing conclusion to a notable series.” —Booklist In this final installment of the Squire’s Tale series, Terence and his fellow Knights of the Round Table must come together in a last stand to save Camelot. The characters Gerald Morris has brought to life throughout his series—Terence and Gawain, Lynet and Gaheris, Luneta and Rhience, Dinadan and Palomides—each have an important role to play in this climactic final conflict. Maintaining their faith, selflessness, and honor, Arthur’s court bands together to try to defeat Morgause and Mordred and banish the dark magic from England forever. “Morris pulls off a spectacular conclusion to his humane and witty Squire’s Tales series as destructive intrigues both provide a backdrop for a fan-pleasing reunion of favorite figures from past episodes and lead up to the final battle between Arthur and his brilliant, hideously warped son Mordred . . . Well done.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review) “The knights’ simplicity, honor, and kitchen-table philosophizing will continue to entrance readers, straight through to the end of this thrilling, elegiac, hope-from-the-ashes saga.” —The Horn Book (starred review) “In this final title in the series, Morris once again makes the adventure, excitement, and magic of King Arthur and his court accessible to every reader . . . An excellent end to a worthwhile and well-written series that can be recommended to reluctant and skilled readers alike.” —School Library Journal

Tribe of Legend: Book 1—The Awakening is an epic coming-of-age story highlighting the bond between a brother and sister living in the inner cities of South Florida. The pair of siblings strive to discover who they are while taking on staggering social stereotypes and stigmas placed upon them by society and institutions in their surrounding environment. Fighting to carve out and take hold of their own individual identities, the young teenagers will soon find themselves on an arduous journey of growth. An ordinary outing in the city on a Friday evening for the brother and sister with friends suddenly turns into a nightmarish gauntlet of running into reality-breaking encounters and mysteries that will challenge the unity and loyalties of close relationships. In addition, it reveals to the siblings that the world around them has much more beyond its veil to show them, than what the average eyes will allow itself to see, and lost secrets of the past affecting the balance of the cosmos are directly linked to the siblings.
