Miss Bartlett, of Manchester, reported on the recent meeting of the llasslchusetts Library Club at Springfield. The scssion was concluded by a demonstration of mending by Miss Fernald and Miss Clement. We were very glad to welcome several new members and, though the attendance was not large, lbecause of the informality of the meetings, the cordiality of the members, and the hearty welcome received from both Mr. and Mrs. Davis, the meeting was voted one of the best in the history of the association. Delivered at meeting of N. H. Library Association. both school and library is somewhat correlative. I am going to tell you of some of the methods I have used in seeking to bring the schools of my own town into closer relation with the library. Those that have been successful in one place may not =be in another, and what has been effective one year may not prove of so much value when repeated. But, in general, I think most of these methods may apply to other places. I shall speak especially of the five upper grades, as my experience has 'bcen mostly with them. The schools afford a.u opportunity for work that all can take up. There are many departments we would like to enter into if we only had the room or the money, 'but everyone can work along this line. There is no need of waiting for better facilities, all that is needed is the time and interest, and if one has sufficient interest he will somehow find the time to do at least a little. The work is one that will benefit so many that it gives one a triple incentive to do it. It will add to the interest and better the schools of your town if the teacher will do her...
