FORMAT YOUR BOOK FOR AMAZON USING MICROSOFT WORD! Don't pay for formatting. This book breaks it all down. You'll be formatting your manuscript in record time. This book has it all nicely laid out. You know what you need? Just go straight to the section you need. Do something and a page number disappears? I'll tell you exactly what clicks to make to get it back. Change a header for one section or chapter and all of the chapters following that one change? Not what you intended, right? I'll tell you how to fix it. It took me almost a month to figure out how to format my first book in Microsoft Word. It was frustrating. Strange things would happen with the text and I couldn't figure out why, or how to fix it. I watched a ton of YouTube videos to pick up a suggestion here and there from each video. Eventually, after days and weeks, I had a general idea of where to look for the problem. I then had to figure out exactly how to fix that problem. I wanted to pull my hair out. But finally, I got that first book formatted, and then the second, third, etc. Things got a little easier. I knew exactly where the trouble spots would be, and I generally knew how to fix the problem. I do now anyway. Are there still glitches? Absolutely. I'm certainly not an expert, but I can get the job done in a reasonable amount of time. I'm working on shortening that time even more. And I'm trying to shorten the time for you. No one should have to just muddle through and spend weeks trying to solve what could be a very simple problem if that person just knew what to click on next. The most you'll have to do is figure out what type of font to use, or the trim size you want, etc. All the rest will be pretty much just a matter of you flipping to the correct section. Want to add a header? It's there. Along with showing you how to format in Word, I show you the basic ins and outs of Kindle Create. A little effort up front and you're on your way. Don't pay someone else to do a job you can do yourself! Format your own book exactly how you want.

Please note also that the Word versions described in this book possessed an earlier interface as well as features better suited to print publishing. Nowadays, new technologies and services have made it easier than ever to publish your book, but there's one question you may still face: Do I need an expensive page layout program, or can I just use a word processor like Microsoft Word? With this book as guide, you'll soon be producing pages from Word that no reviewer will scoff at. //////////////////////////////////////////////// Aaron Shepard is a foremost proponent of the new business of profitable self publishing through print on demand, which he has practiced and helped develop since 1998. In a parallel life, Aaron is an award-winning children's author with numerous books from publishers large and small. //////////////////////////////////////////////// "If you want to make your layout and formatting as unproblematic as possible and you don't want to shell out $1-$2k for someone else to do it for you, then add this book to your library. . . .
