Michael’s father never gave him or his mother an explanation for why he left ten years ago. One day he was surprised to find his father standing on his front doorstep. His father, David, had a hidden secret for why he had to leave, and once Michael found out about his father’s shocking past, his world was turned upside down. When Luna’s parents died ten years ago, she had to struggle with living with her cruel and abusive aunt. Through the years of living with her aunt, Luna had a strong suspicion that the woman was more than just evil. There was something about her aunt that wasn’t human. Jeremy was troubled, and when he found out that he was adopted and that his biological father had done horrible things in his existence, Jeremy started to question if he was born evil. Together, the three best friends had to decide where they stood in a battle between good and evil that had been raging since the beginning of time.

Adel Monet has always known her fate was to marry one of the sons of the Alpha in the Blood Moon Clan. She believed her life would be tied to Maddox, the oldest son, for this life and the next. But fate has a funny way of intervening when you’ve chosen the wrong mate. When an unexpected illness claims Maddox’s life, his brother, Phoenix, must take his place as the Spare Heir and fulfill the marriage contract. Just when Adel and Phoenix think their union is going smoothly, Adel suddenly falls ill with hauntingly the same symptoms as Maddox. Something isn’t adding up. Someone is out to hurt them, and Phoenix will stop at nothing to protect his mate and catch the person who harmed the two closest people to him. *** “How would you be remembered as an Alpha?” “I’m the spare, Adel. I’ll never have to ask myself the question.” Fates Spare is created by Anastasia O'Hare, an eGlobal Creative Publishing signed author.

In these reflections on the mercurial qualities of style in Ovid's Meta-morphoses, Garth Tissol contends that stylistic features of the ever-shifting narrative surface, such as wordplay, narrative disruption, and the self-conscious reworking of the poetic tradition, are thematically significant. It is the style that makes the process of reading the work a changing, transformative experience, as it both embodies and reflects the poem's presentation of the world as defined by instability and flux. Tissol deftly illustrates that far from being merely ornamental, style is as much a site for interpretation as any other element of Ovid's art. In the first chapter, Tissol argues that verbal wit and wordplay are closely linked to Ovidian metamorphoses. Wit challenges the ordinary conceptual categories of Ovid's readers, disturbing and extending the meanings and references of words. Thereby it contributes on the stylistic level to the readers' apprehension of flux. On a larger scale, parallel disturbances occur in the progress of narratives. In the second and third chapters, the author examines surprise and abrupt alteration of perspective as important features of narrative style. We experience reading as a transformative process not only in the characteristic indirection and unpredictability of Ovid's narrative but also in the memory of his predecessors. In the fourth chapter, Tissol shows how Ovid subsumes Vergil's Aeneid into the Metamorphoses in an especially rich allusive exploitation, one which contrasts Vergil's aetiological themes with those of his own work.
